Museum of National Antiquities is located on Narvavägen near Djurgårdsbron. At this exciting museum, which charges no entrance fee, you can experience thousands of years of history, from prehistoric times to the Viking and Medieval periods. Although the Vikings are best known for their warlike pillaging, the era included do much more. In the Guldrummet (Gold Room), you will marvel at all the ancient gold and silver treasures that have been dug out of the earth through the years, including three unique gold necklaces that are so cleverly constructed that today’s goldsmith cannot figure out how they were made. At the Kafé Rosengården, you can relax over a good lunch or cup of coffee. In the well-stocked museum store, you will find copies of Viking-age jewellery, glass and more.
