Bank Offices
Most banks are open Monday to Friday 10.00 to 15.00 hours. On Thursdays some banks are open from 10.00 to 18.00 hours. On Saturdays and Sundays the banks are closed.
Almost all banks provide for exchange service, but specialists in foreign exchange give better rates.
The absolutely best way to get money from, or to, another country is to have a credit card, tied to a bank account in your home country. All other methods are both time consuming and expensive.
Do not bring personal cheques as they are very expensive and time consuming to cash, plus require an account in a Swedish bank.
There are two types of automatic cash dispensing machines; "Bankomat," and "Minuten". The differences are in the bank service; i.e., commercial bank or savings bank. VISA, MasterCard, Eurocard and similar cards can be used in either one

Electricity
The voltage in Sweden is 220-230V AC, with a frequency of 50/60 Hz. The plugs are continental-style with two pins. Appliances rated US 110V need a transformer to operate safely.
